Rulethu is an investment holding and development company focused on infrastructure, trade and primary industry. We take a hands-on approach to our investments and focus on the long term, building enduring businesses rather than chasing short cycles.

Economists, engineers, mathematicians and sectoral experts make up our team, bringing diverse backgrounds and a shared emphasis on innovation, reliability and sustainable development, anchored on a foundation of trust earned through reliability and transparency.

Dr. Kupukile Mlambo

Dr. Kupukile Mlambo

Chairman

Former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and Chairman of the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe, with 15 years at the African Development Bank.

Dr Kupukile Mlambo is a former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, serving between July 2002 and 2012, where he was in charge of Economic Research, Policy and Human Resources. As Deputy Governor he also sat on the RBZ Board of Directors, the Monetary Policy Committee, and the Human Resources and Banking Sector Stability Committees.

He spent 15 years with the African Development Bank, most recently as Regional Director responsible for seven countries in East Africa. He also serves as Chairman of the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ), Chairman of the Lupane State University Council, and Chairman of Imara Asset Management Company.

A seasoned banker and investor who has raised credit and investment funding for enterprises across Europe and Africa.

Joe is a seasoned banker and investor who has worked across Europe and Africa, with strong experience in raising credit and investment funding for diverse groups of enterprises.

In Europe, Joe held executive roles at a number of banks including Nord Deutsche Landesbank, Commerzbank, BHF, Meridien International Bank and First Bank. He has sat on a number of boards, including FBC Bank. Joe studied Economics at Trier University.

Ms Rachel Chibaya

Non-Executive Director

A registered Legal Practitioner and Founding Partner at R Chibaya Law Chambers, and a Councillor at the Law Society of Zimbabwe.

Ms Chibaya is a registered Legal Practitioner and has been in private practice since 2010. She is the Founding Partner at R Chibaya Law Chambers, a vibrant mid-size law firm in Harare.

She is currently a Councillor at the Law Society of Zimbabwe, Council Chairperson at Women’s University in Africa, and sits on a number of other boards. Ms Chibaya holds a Master of Laws in Commercial Law from the University of Zimbabwe.

Fidelis Chimhuka

Non-Executive Director

A Registered Stockbroker and Member of the ZSE, with 16 years across leading stockbroking firms.

Fidelis has worked for several stockbroking firms over a 16-year period after starting his career as a dealer at Continental Securities in 2001. He was involved in the IPO listing of Medtech Holdings Limited and the takeover of Colcom Holdings by its current shareholders, and has worked for FBC, NDH and Platinum Securities.

He was lead broker in various transactions, including Art Corporation and Rainbow Tourism Group on the ZSE. Fidelis holds a degree in Finance and an MSc in Banking and Financial Economics from the National University of Science and Technology. He is a Registered Stockbroker and a Member of the ZSE.

Chief Executive Officer

CEO of WealthAccess and a seasoned energy and infrastructure finance professional, with experience across four continents.

Taku is the CEO of WealthAccess, a seasoned energy and infrastructure finance professional with vast experience gained in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

He has held executive positions at TotalEnergies, Enerwhere Sustainable Energy and Cleanmax, among others, where he led significant investments, and sits on the boards of a number of for- and non-profit organisations. Taku is an electrical engineer and studied at Kettering University and Harvard Business School.

Chengetai Katsumbe

Chief Finance Officer

Chief Finance Officer, with an Executive MBA from Stanford University, leading financial integrity and regulatory compliance.

Chengetai is the Chief Finance Officer of Rulethu. She holds an Executive MBA from Stanford University and is responsible for safeguarding the firm’s financial integrity and overseeing all regulatory reporting, ensuring full compliance with SECZim capital-adequacy, client-asset segregation and financial-disclosure requirements.
